Wholesale MOQ and Pricing Tiers, Explained

Quotations in this industry differ by a factor of two for what looks like the same goods - because buyers unknowingly ask for different things. Here is how we build a quote, so you can compare suppliers on facts.

"What's your MOQ?" is usually the first question - and the least informative. Two buyers can take the same headline volume and end up with completely different invoices. This guide breaks down every variable behind a decorative film quotation on our lines: P800DM, PA900DM, D1500 and ZSK01.

1. The commercial frame in one paragraph

Our frame: in-stock colours from 1 roll (availability confirmed per item); custom colours / OEM from 10,000 m per colour (mixable across patterns within the same product line), custom production lead time 15–20 days from deposit and pattern confirmation, swatches couriered on request before you commit. Custom color development starts at 10,000 m with a USD 500 development fee that is credited back on the production order. Prices are quoted per line and per pattern family; a formal tiered quotation follows your inquiry within one business day.

2. What moves the price within one product line

  • Pattern family: deep-embossed synchronized grains cost more than flat-printed patterns - the embossing rollers are a real production cost.
  • Thickness and backing construction: gauge, adhesive type (pressure-sensitive vs wrap-grade) and release liner all shift the ex-works price.
  • Order shape: a single-SKU run prices better per metre than the same total spread across 20 patterns, because changeovers cost run time.
  • Repeat business: running patterns are cheaper to re-produce than first-time patterns.

3. How to compare supplier quotes honestly

  1. Normalize to USD per square meter, FOB Chinese port - widths and roll lengths differ between factories.
  2. Compare identical construction: same gauge, same adhesive class, same liner. A cheaper quote often hides a thinner gauge.
  3. Ask what documentation is included. A quote with SGS-backed VOC and heavy-metal reporting (as on our D1500 line) is not the same product as one without.
  4. Check the validity window - raw material prices move; we hold quotations for 30 days.

4. Freight and packaging - the invisible tier

Film is light but bulky. Standard export packing is rolls in woven bags on pallets; a 20-ft container of 1.22 m rolls carries roughly 20,000–25,000 m depending on roll length. We quote EXW, FOB and CIF on request. For sample-stage logistics, couriers handle A4 swatch sets and short roll cuts without formal export documents.

5. Payment andIncoterms

Standard terms: 30% deposit with order, 70% against copy of B/L. L/C at sight is available for established buyers. We ship under FOB Shanghai as default; CIF and DAP are quoted case by case through our forwarder or yours.

6. What a standard production volume covers in practice

Use caseRough yield at volume
Kitchen cabinet door program (single side)~2,400 doors at 0.7 m² each
Hotel room refresh (wardrobe + desk + headboard)~600 rooms at ~5 m² film each
Retail shopfitting (counters + wall features)~1,500 m² of finished surface

If your project sits below these scales, ask about our distributor partners in your market - they stock cut rolls for smaller jobs. And if you are planning a tender, start from the refurbishment requirements guide so quantities and construction are specified correctly the first time.

7. Getting a real number

Send us: product line, pattern SKUs (or references you want matched), quantity in meters, destination port and target construction. You get a tiered quotation with construction details, documentation list and lead time within one business day - use the inquiry form below or the contact page.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix patterns within one MOQ order?

Yes - the MOQ is order-level, mixable across patterns within the same product line. Very small per-pattern quantities may affect unit price because of changeover time.

Why do quotes for similar film differ so much between factories?

Construction differences (gauge, adhesive class, liner), documentation depth and pattern licensing all shift price. Normalize to USD per square meter at identical construction before comparing.

Is there a price break above the MOQ?

Yes - tiered pricing applies at higher volumes per order. The quotation lists tiers explicitly so you can weigh a larger single order against storage.

What payment terms do you accept?

Standard is 30% deposit and 70% against copy of B/L; L/C at sight is available for established buyers.

Do you quote EXW, FOB and CIF?

All three. FOB Shanghai is the default; we can also quote CIF or DAP through our forwarder or work with yours.
