Requesting Samples: The Wholesale Buyer's Path

Every bulk relationship in this industry starts with an envelope of swatches. We keep the sample path deliberately simple so serious buyers can move from shortlist to courier within days. Here is exactly how it works for our lines - P800DM, PA900DM, D1500 and ZSK01.

1. What to send in your first inquiry

The fastest sample requests contain four things:

1. SKU numbers or pattern references - from the finishes library, or photos/references you want us to match.
2. Product line - PVC, PVC-free, wood grain, metallic, or wall covering; if unsure, tell us the application instead.
3. Project context - what surface, which market, rough annual volume. This changes what we send (documentation, wrap-grade options, batch information).
4. Delivery details - recipient name, phone, address, courier account if you have one.

2. What arrives in the courier

• A4 swatches of each requested pattern - big enough to judge grain and color under your project lighting.
• Documentation set on request: the SGS test results for the D1500 line, TDS with gauge and construction data.
• Batch photos when the swatch comes from current production stock, so what you approve is what ships.

Swatch sets are couriered by DHL/FedEx; typical transit is 3-7 days depending on destination. There is no charge for standard swatch sets for business buyers - we ask only that requests come through a company email so we can support the inquiry properly.

3. Judging samples like a pro

• Judge under project lighting: 3000K warms grains, 6000K greys them. The wood grain selection guide has the full method.
• Test on your substrate: laminate an offcut of your actual board - adhesion and final look both change with the base.
• Run your own abrasion/wipe tests for working surfaces; we can supply extra material for testing on request.

4. From swatch to bulk order

1. Confirm SKUs and request the tiered quotation - in-stock colours start at 1 roll; custom / OEM is 10,000 m per colour, mixable within a product line; custom production lead time 15–20 days.
2. Lock the batch: your approved swatch becomes the arbitration master; for visible-surface projects we send batch photos against master before shipment.
3. Production and shipment: 30% deposit starts the 15-20 day production window; documents and photos follow before the balance ships. The MOQ and pricing guide covers terms in detail.

5. Special sample cases

• Custom color development: after a swatch review, we can run a lab proof of your own reference - development starts at 10,000 m (USD 500 fee credited on order). The OEM guide documents the workflow.
• Short roll cuts for trial lines: profile-wrap shops testing a new pattern on their machines can request a short roll - tell us your machine's gauge window.
• Tender documentation: if samples support a bid, request the full documentation package with the swatches so compliance review runs in parallel.

6. The one mistake that wastes a week

Requesting "everything that looks like oak". Unfocused swatch lists dilute the decision and slow the courier. Shortlist five SKUs maximum, judge properly, then expand - the finishes library filters by color family and pattern type to make the shortlist easy.
